Meet Dr Helena.

She/Her

A thoughtful, research-driven approach to care—grounded in understanding, not assumptions.

A smiling woman sitting on a white cushion in a cozy room with a white brick wall, two decorative cushions, a potted plant, and a small glass bottle on a wooden table.

Care that starts with listening.

Dr Helena El-Najjar is the founder of The Chiro Room and a chiropractor with a background in biomedical science and neuroscience.

Over the past decade, she has worked with everyone from newborns to elite athletes—but her approach has remained the same: take the time to understand the person in front of you.

No assumptions. No rushing. No one-size-fits-all care.

Just thoughtful, tailored support that meets you where you are.

A foundation in understanding the body.

Before moving into chiropractic, Helena completed a degree in biomedical science with a focus on neuroscience research.

That background continues to shape how she works today—looking beyond surface-level symptoms to understand how the body and nervous system are functioning as a whole.

Her areas of focus include:

  • Neuro-developmental paediatrics

  • Functional neurology

  • Sports chiropractic

But more than any single modality, her work is guided by curiosity—asking why something is happening, not just how to treat it.

Working with your nervous system—not against it.

Helena’s approach is grounded in the understanding that every nervous system is different.

This means care isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about supporting your body in a way that feels safe, manageable, and effective.

Whether that means adjusting how treatment is delivered, changing communication style, or slowing things down, your experience is always taken into account.

You’re part of the process, every step of the way.

An evolving approach to care.

Helena is currently expanding her work into Animal Biomechanics, with a two-year postgraduate qualification set for completion in 2027.

This next chapter reflects a long-standing goal—to extend her “whole-body” philosophy of care beyond humans and into the animal world.

Training alongside veterinarians and osteopaths, she is developing the skills to support horses and dogs with the same evidence-based, thoughtful approach she brings to the clinic.

Beyond the clinic.

Outside of work, Helena is driven by curiosity and creativity.

She enjoys music production, travelling, and exploring new cultures—often through food. Together with her partner, she regularly visits Scotland, connecting with family and experiencing life from a different perspective.

She’s also a strong supporter of women’s sport, bringing the same resilience and growth to her work.

And of course—Pacey.

Pacey, Helena’s black Labrador, is a constant presence at The Chiro Room.

For many patients, he plays an important role in creating a sense of calm and familiarity—helping the space feel less clinical, and more like somewhere you can settle in.
